Photo ID Required To Vote

Remember that you will need to show a Photo ID to the poll workers on election day.  For most residents, that will probably be your Wisconsin driver license.  There are several other acceptable Photo ID's such as a U.S. passport, a military ID card or a State Photo ID card available for free from the Wisconsin Department of Motor Vehicles.

Register To Vote

Registering to vote in your local municipality is the first step to participate in any election in Wisconsin. All voters must be registered.  You only need to register once unless you move to a new home address, in which case you would need to register again with the new address.  When you register to vote, you are declaring the exact address where you live and providing proof of residence at that address.

The registration process does two things: it limits each voter to one specific address and it determines all of the specific voting jurisdictions that apply to that address. The process of voter registration places you within one specific voting ward of your local municipality (village, city or town). The Town of Lodi is divided into five voting wards. The Town of Lodi also has three special voting districts: the Okee Sanitary District, the Harmony Grove Sanitary District, and the Harmony Grove Lake Protection District.

It is recommended to register ahead of time, however it is also possible to register to vote on the day of the election.

You can register to vote by mail, online at MyVote Wisconsin, or in person at the Town Hall during regular weekday business hours (bring along your proof of residence document).  If you have a Wisconsin driver license and the Wisconsin DMV has your current address on file, then registration is almost instantly accomplished through MyVote Wisconsin.

What Offices Appear On The Ballot

Ballots can include offices at every level of government (local, county, state and federal).
